My journey into bodybuilding started years ago. For a while I've been envious of competitive bodybuilders. These athletes have the ability to transform their bodies into a living work of art. Deep inside myself I could feel that I wanted to be a bodybuilder. I wanted to know what it felt like to look like a million dollars. I am the type of person that is very impulsive, and when I see something I want I don’t wait. Rather, I immediately immerse myself into pursuing my goal. So I started out searching the
internet for the right program to transform me into a shredded bodybuilder. I tried many different diets and training styles for about two years. I was completely dedicated and focused. The only problem was that I wasn't making any progress.
Being discouraged, I thought maybe I should bulk up and then start the shredding process again. This pattern continued for a while; bulk up and then diet and perform cardio, which resulted in burning off both the muscle and fat I had gained. I looked the same time and time again!! This was unbelievably frustrating! Finally, after reading a
Bodybuiling.com article written by Russ Yeager, I stumbled onto what I had been looking for. I saw that Russ had made an amazing transformation. Russ started out chubby, just like I did (Thanks a lot James! No, he is right, I WAS chubby, so I can definitely relate to you on a very real level if your current level of health and fitness is not where you want it to be-Russ). Not only did Russ have a successful plan, but it was very evident that he had a winning attitude. This combination led me to contact Russ immediately! I told Russ that I expected 100% from him because I was going to give 110%. Russ assured me that he would take care of me and lead me to my goals.
So there we started with me at 210 pounds and about 20% body fat. I set a
contest date and Russ gave me a weekly plan every week. Russ looked over pictures I sent him and he responded to what seemed like a million emails I sent him! He even responded the SAME DAY to just about every single question. This was great because some of the questions I had needed to be addressed immediately. The man truly had a passion for helping me reach my goal. Even though he did not have to motivate me, he always kept every email positive. Subconsciously, I am sure this helped me a great deal. Week after week I could see my body changing and Russ saw the same changes. After a while I could finally see my abs! This new improvement made me feel awesome about myself!
FINALLY, I was making progress! All of my hard work was paying off. I listened to Russ and did everything he said because I knew he had been through the same thing I was going through. He even told me what I was going to feel before I felt it! He did not sugarcoat things. He told me how the last five weeks of contest preparation would be unbelievably difficult (and they were), but the work would be well worth the effort (and it was!)
About four weeks before my contest I got the chance to meet Russ in person at the Arnold Classic Bodybuilding and Fitness Expo. Even though I had already considered Russ a friend at this point, it was in Ohio where he proved his sincerity as a person. I was traveling by myself in Ohio. I had no car and not a clue what to expect from the expo at the Arnold Classic. Well, Russ and his training partner actually picked me up from my hotel and took me to the gym to train the first day we met! Russ literally saved me numerous 30 dollar cab rides by driving me to the expo everyday. This experience showed that Russ was not only an awesome coach, but also a really genuine person and a great friend. This is definitely the kind of person I want on my side when trying to accomplish some ambitious bodybuilding or fitness goals.
After the Arnold Classic was basically when we had to turn up the heat. I had to really dig deep to accomplish my goal. I stayed focused and even though many times I couldn't wait for the training to end, I was always encouraged by the mid-week emails from Russ. Russ sent me a bunch of emails directing me to stay motivated and asking me how I felt. I was also able to find motivation by watching Russ’s Complete Physique Training DVD Seeing Russ’s intensity on the DVD always fired me up to hit the weight room! The DVD also has so much information; I swear I learned something new every time I watched it.

Fast forward to the last week of contest preparation (if it were only that easy!) Russ was
in touch with me everyday to explain all the intricate details of the final contest preparation week. We communicated through yahoo instant messenger and I must have chatted with him at least 3 times a day. Each time, Russ took as much time as needed to answer all of my questions. Well, finally the last days passed and I accomplished my goal. I reached my dream of being a competitive bodybuilder. The feelings I had inside really cannot be matched by anything I have ever done in my life. There was a feeling of accomplishment and pride. I had set out for what seemed like an impossible goal and I had reached it.
I owe much of the credit to Russ's program. His training method, diet, cardio regimen, and motivational words made all the difference for me. All the training I had done incorrectly was suddenly fixed. I was finally able to strip off body fat and save muscle. Now that the first competition is over I am looking forward to my second, and I am going to enjoy every minute of it.
My advice to anyone aspiring to change their physique is to contact a qualified coach to help them. I can recommend Russ Yeager with 100% confidence. If he could help me go from a 38 inch waist to a 33 inch waist, then I know that he can help anyone get into shape. Many people hesitate to contact others for help because they are nervous or just don't know any better. Don't make the same mistake I did. When I was in charge of my own nutrition I would only see things through my eyes. I would slash carbs unnecessarily if I “felt” fat one day. Hhmm, no wonder I lost muscle. I think it is very

Wow! James’ story sure is great, but I think his before and after photos pretty much tell it all. James worked extremely hard to reach his goals and was the perfect “student.” I am absolutely certain that my training and nutritional strategies will work for YOU, but you still must do the work! I can give you all the information and motivation, but it is up to you to put it into action! If I could do all the work for you, then I would. That’s how bad I WANT my clients to succeed! Unfortunately, it does not work like that. There will be work required by both of us. No matter how many fraudulent people try to convince you that building muscle and losing body fat is easy, or that the answer can be found in a pill, the simple truth is that getting the body you have always wanted will take some effort on your part. But I can guarantee that the physical, mental, and emotional benefits you receive by transforming your physique and level of health and fitness will far outweigh the ‘cost’ that you must put into it.
Like I said, James was the perfect student and did everything I told him to do to a T. I think his outstanding results speak for themselves. The more closely you follow my advice, the better your results will be. James had a very ambitious goal of stepping on stage as a competitive bodybuilder, and he accomplished that goal. However, not everyone wants to be a competitive bodybuilder. Most of us just want to lose some body fat, gain a little muscle mass, improve our level of health and fitness, and increase our energy levels so that we can enjoy life to the fullest.
